Each prescription has one or more "Prescription Items". These are listed in bold text on the prescription and may have dose information associated with them.

If your practice stocks and sells medications you can add these items to the prescription as "Stock Items" beneath a "Prescription Item"

"Prescription Items" may consist of zero or more "Stock Items".

Some "Prescription Items" may have no "Stock Items" as would be the case where the item was an exercise or dietary recommendation, or for an item that your practice does not sell.
